Chamber music is one of the most precious and subtle forms of sonorous dialogue, and the playing of music in a string quartet is its supreme discipline.

Chamber music also takes on a more and more important role in the career management of young instrumentalists (according to an interview in the 'Neue Musik Zeitung' with representatives of the 2012 founded Society of German String Quartets).

The music-making in formations for chamber music has a long tradition at the Young Artists Festival Bayreuth. Selected musicians have the occasion to create in august 2013 in conjunction with renowned and experienced lecturers an intensive learning curve and duty cycle. In addition to the rehearsal work the musicians obtain in lectures and in rounds of talks valuable information for their career management.
